Chaffey’s Notary Publics serve as impartial witnesses in taking acknowledgements, administering oaths, and affirmations.

Chaffey FCU Notary Services are free to all Members, and available at each of our branches via appointment. Please schedule an appointment before visiting a branch.

You find yourself needing a notarization – what does that mean?

Notarization is the process of verifying the authenticity of a document and its signers. Because the Notary Public acts as a neutral third-party and government agent, notarized documents carry legal weight – similar to taking an oath.

What documents need to be notarized?

The document or individual providing the document should instruct if it needs to be notarized. Common documents that need to be notarized include affidavits, power of attorney, or living trusts.

What do I need to bring to bring to my Notary Appointment?

To provide a notarization at Chaffey FCU, the Notary Public will need to see your document being signed in-person. All signees must provide a government issued ID at their appointment.
